A Diglett appears within your view, simply trudging along the ground.

Hitaru sat on the ground, his pack in front of him. As the Diglett came into view, Hitaru pulled out some Pokefood, handed a bit too Ikasu, and then set some down for the Diglett to see. As it would come closer, Hitaru would begin to speak to it.
"Hey there little guy, how are you? Would you like some food? It's really tasty."
Ikasu translated for Hitaru. After he was done, the trainer waited to see what the Diglett's reaction would be. |

As the pokemon would see the food it would quickly go underground and raise out of the ground right in front of the food. Gobbling it up the Diglett would let out a noise showing it's content.

Hitaru watched as the little Diglett gobbled up the food. He smiled at Ikasu, and then began his speech to convince the Diglett to join them.
"Did you like that little buddy? You can have as much as you want if you stick with me. On top of that, I can make you strong. I can make Pokemon respect you and look up to you. Do they do that to you know? I bet they don't. Join us, and you will be the strongest Diglett in all of Johto."
Ikasu translated, adding a bit about how nice and caring Hitaru was, and how he respected each Pokemon, regardless of it's strengths and weaknesses. |

Diglett would stare off into the distance as it day dreamed of being a Dugtrio and all the pokemon bowing down before him. His wishes would come true if this happened and he would get all the food he wanted! What else could a Diglett ask for?!?!?! Diglett would nod furiously as it waited to become stronger already!

With the Diglett's nod of approval, Hitaru tapped the tiny Mole with a Pokeball. The Diglett was beamed inside in a flash of red light, and no struggle was made. Ikasu was excited about his new friends, and Hitaru recalled him to his Pokeball to rest as well. Standing up and brushing himself off, Hitaru made his way toward Cherry grove and to more Pokemon.
